Meet Pat & Gen (and Gia & Paloma!) – The Golden Adventurers
We’re Pat and Gen—a couple who traded the ordinary for the open road, documenting our travels with our two pups, Gia (our sweet Golden Retriever) and Paloma (our spunky terrier mix). Together, we explore the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and beyond in our self-built 2023 Ford Transit Trail van.
Pat’s a longtime tech guy turned part-time van builder, full-time adventure seeker. When he’s not leading engineering teams or nerding out over Java code, he’s cooking up fried Spam rice bowls, tracking down hidden campgrounds, or flying the drone over coastal cliffs. Gen keeps the vibes high and the dogs happy—she’s the heart of our journey.
We started Golden Adventurers to share the joy, freedom, and occasional chaos of life on the road. From ferry rides with five minutes to spare to spontaneous campfire dinners beside rushing rivers, we believe the best trips are the ones without a fixed plan.
