This week we visited the grounds of the Northern State Hospital in the Sedro Woolley area in WA. The hospital was closed decades ago leaving a somewhat spooky and at the same time beautiful park. There are many dilapidated ruins of the old buildings leaving visitors’ imaginations to their own devices.
The park however, is a very beautiful location with many miles of easy trails, picnic areas and an 18 hole disc golf course. This park also contains a very beautiful Veterans Memorial where you can learn about some of the Congressional Medal of Honors recipients from the area.
