Come along as we celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary with an unforgettable van life overnight in Whistler, BC! We camped off-grid right on the river at Cal-Cheak Campground, surrounded by stunning forest and peaceful water.
🌙 Evening Highlights: We grilled up juicy steaks and fries for dinner while enjoying the sounds of the river. Pat shares a heartfelt update about our sweet golden retriever Gia, who’s been feeling a bit under the weather.
🐾💛 🍳 Morning Mishap: Our first try at making pancakes in the van didn’t go quite as planned—let’s just say we “tested” our smoke detector!
😅 🐻 Wild Whistler Sighting: Later, we ventured into Whistler Village, where we walked some of the beautiful trails and spotted a majestic black bear strolling along the golf course! Truly a WOW moment.
🥗 Delicious Lunch Stop: We wrapped up the visit with lunch at La Boca—Pat devoured a mouthwatering Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, and Gen loved her Chicken Caesar Salad. A perfect ending to a short but sweet Whistler getaway.
